A successful career woman in the film industry, Adele Lim is a well-known screenwriter who has laid the foundation for Southeast Asian representation in Hollywood.
Born and raised in Petaling Jaya, she illustrates Asian culture in her screenwriting which birthed Disney’s first Southeast Asian warrior princess in the 2021 Oscar-nominated animated feature, Raya and The Last Dragon.
5. Lyon Liew – Coco, Luca, Incredibles 2, Turning Red
Lyon Liew, the lead technical director at Pixar Animation Studios never ceases to move audiences with his work in animations such as the Oscar-nominated and tear-jerker, Turning Red.
Lyon led his team in the creation of Mei’s panda character – making sure its fur moved realistically. His great attention to detail and passion for visual storytelling truly brings the characters to life.
