KUALA LUMPUR – Indian-American Carnatic musician Sidharth Sriram – known as Sid Sriram – is set to perform in a live concert this October, his fourth stage appearance in Malaysia.
The concert titled Sid Sriram at the Heart & Soul 3.0 Live in KL will take place on October 7 at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, starting from 7pm.
Concert organiser, Woodmark Events said it decided to organise the concert for the fourth time based on the overwhelming response to Sid Sriram's last performance in August of last year, where tickets for the two-day concert sold out within two hours.
“We hope that the upcoming concert on October 7 will be another sold-out event, based on the playback singer's strong fan base in Malaysia,” it said in a statement to Bernama.
Sid Sriram, who works in the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi music industry, previously had said he was overwhelmed by the love and support shown by Malaysians and is very much delighted to entertain his ardent fans here.
The 33-year-old playback singer, who hails from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India was introduced by acclaimed Indian composer A.R. Rahman and shot to fame instantly through his first song, Adiye from the film Kadal released in 2013.
To date, he has received numerous international recognitions and awards for his work including awards from the 63rd Filmfare Awards South, Zee Cine Awards Tamil, and 7th South Indian International Movie Awards.
