KUALA LUMPUR – Christmas gives us the opportunity as a plural society to observe the occasion’s customs and traditions, not only with family members, but also friends and others from all walks of life.
Malaysians should be grateful because each festival of the country’s multiracial and multi-religious community can be celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
Malaysian-American couple Don Vannice and Jagjit Kaur create a Christmas wonderland in their suburban home in Petaling Jaya each year, which sees people driving by to admire the lights and decor.
Christmas is a time to celebrate, and even though 2020 has left many of us with less to cheer about, at least, these festive lights can be enjoyed by all.
The Vibes photographer SYEDA IMRAN has an eye for the celebrations.
