MUAR MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has turned to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali for marriage advice ahead of his wedding next month.
Syed Saddiq shared the encounter on Threads after personally delivering his wedding invitation to the couple, whom he described as among the most senior guests on his list.
“I personally delivered the wedding invitation to Tun M and Tun Hasmah, the most senior special guests on the list, but still the youngest couple at heart!
“As I prepare to enter married life, of course I had to seek advice from Malaysia’s most experienced couple,” he said.
He also posted several photographs of himself with Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah.
The post drew well-wishes from social media users, who prayed that his journey into marriage would be smooth.
Syed Saddiq and Bella, 32, previously announced that they would marry on Oct 10 at Level 118 of Merdeka 118 Tower in Kuala Lumpur. - September 12, 2026
