FOCUS Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd is expanding its presence in the premium eyewear segment with the opening of Focus Point Prestige at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey Johor Bahru.

The new outlet brings 14 international eyewear labels under one roof, including Cartier, Bvlgari, Dior, Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent, TOM FORD and TAG Heuer, alongside specialist brands such as DITA, ic! berlin, LINDA FARROW and Japan’s 999.9.

The move gives Focus Point a dedicated retail space for high-end eyewear, broadening its offering beyond conventional optical retail to cater to consumers seeking designer frames and specialist collections.

Located on the mall’s ground floor, the outlet combines its eyewear range with optical services, supported by ZEISS equipment, including the VisuFit 1000, which assists with eyewear measurements and fitting.

The concept brings together designer eyewear and vision care, reflecting the group’s approach to a market where frames serve both a corrective function and a role in personal style.

The outlet was officially opened on Nov 4 at a ceremony attended by Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Dato’ Jeffrey Lai Jiun Jye, Focus Point Holdings Bhd president and chief executive officer Dato’ Liaw Choon Liang, and IGB REIT Management Sdn Bhd deputy chief executive officer of retail Rennie Lee.

The ceremony included a ribbon-cutting event and a traditional lion dance.

The launch forms part of Focus Point’s efforts to develop its retail portfolio across different segments of the eyewear market.

With Focus Point Prestige, the group is placing greater emphasis on premium labels and a more specialised shopping experience.

To mark the opening, the company is offering selected gifts with purchases of Gucci and Saint Laurent eyewear, including exclusive tote bags, subject to terms and conditions.

Customers purchasing TAG Heuer eyewear are also eligible for a limited-edition F1 keychain and an entry into a draw to win a limited-edition racing jacket.

Focus Point Prestige is located at G-008, Ground Floor, The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, Persiaran Southkey 1, Johor Bahru.
