CINNAMON Group, one of the most prominent restaurant chains in Malaysia, swept the HAPA Awards Malaysia Series 2023-2024 that took place last night (May 10), with a staggering win of 15 total awards, including Best Chef, Best Restaurant, Service Excellence, and Restaurant of the Year.

These awards were won for various outlets under the Cinnamon Group, such as Kikubari, Bocado, Nadodi, Natalina, and Aliyaa.

Cinnamon Group itself won the Resilience Award for operating restaurants during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kikubari, located in Damansara City Mall (DC Mall) is one of the outlets that received recognition this year for its exceptional French-Japanese cuisine. The restaurant won the award for Recognised Chef of the Year - King of Western Cuisine, which was awarded to Head Chef Sean Thu. Kikubari also won the Recommended Fine Casual Dining Award.

Bocado, on the other hand, won three awards, including Recognised Chef of the Year - King of Western Cuisine, which was awarded to Chef Ignasi Prats. The restaurant also won the Best Restaurant award for Spanish cuisine, as well as the Best Service Excellence Award.

Another outlet that won multiple awards was Nadodi, the dining venue that already features on Asia’s Top 50 and Michelin Star selected restaurant (Kuala Lumpur). It won the Restaurant of the Year and Best Service Excellence awards.

Natalina, which offers Italian cuisine, won the award for Chef of the Year - King of Western Cuisine, which was awarded to Stefano La Penna, as well as the Best Restaurant Award for Italian Cuisine.

Lastly, Aliyaa, a recipient of the Michelin Bib Gourmand, won two awards. Head Chef Sivarajah Suppiah won the Chef of the Year - King of Asian Cuisine award while the outlet bagged the Best Restaurant Award - Casual Dining.
