A TOTAL of 143 individuals have been treated at health facilities following odour pollution incidents in several areas around Johor Baru yesterday, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said.

He said 139 individuals who suffered mild symptoms such as nausea and dizziness were given outpatient treatment while four others, including a pregnant woman, were admitted for further care.

“All those affected have been allowed to return to their homes,” he told a press conference after officiating at the 20th anniversary celebration of the Sungai Buloh Health Ministry Training Institute this afternoon.

It was previously reported that 27 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Maju Jaya in Johor Baru experienced symptoms of dizziness and vomiting, believed to be caused by odour pollution in Kampung Maju Jaya and Kampung Tawakal. – September 10, 2024.
