A CAR dealer recently shared on social media how a person who earns RM1,700 a month wanted to purchase a Honda Civic going for RM163,000.

Wan Faris posted a WhatsApp conversation between him and the buyer who said he wanted to put RM6,000 as the down payment for the car.

From the conversation, it can be seen that the buyer asked Wan Faris to reduce the price of the car to RM100,000 and secure him a nine-year loan.

The salesman explained to him that reducing the price by more than RM60,000 was impossible.

The buyer then tells Wan Faris that his monthly salary is RM1,700.

"It's okay, you lost a sale today and I will not recommend you to my friends," the buyer goes on to say.

To this, Wan Faris said, "It's okay. The price you offered does not make sense and if your friends have the same mentality as you, it would be crazy of me to entertain them,".

“My sincere advice to young Gen Z: if you can’t yet afford something, keep striving as best as you can. Don’t let yourself become too spoiled. Manage your money wisely," Wan Faris added in his Facebook post. - November 2, 2024
