Upon checking, it was also discovered that Sivanyanam is the MIC Selayang division chief - April 10, 2025

A PKR candidate for the Selayang branch chief position today alleged that there was interference by a MIC division chief in the upcoming Keadilan elections.

Chua Wei Kiat in a statement claimed that Sivanyanam M. Nallathamby registered as a Keadilan member on Oct 24, 2024 (membership number B06000022950).

"However, upon checking, it was also discovered that he is the MIC Selayang division chief, which is shocking and concerning," he said.

He said the process of registering as a Keadilan member is not easy or done carelessly.

It involves verification through the eKYC system, including uploading an identity card photo and live facial verification.

"Therefore, it is clear that this registration is done with the knowledge and consent of the parties involved.

"This action is not an isolated case. It is seen as a planned move to infiltrate Keadilan with the aim of influencing the Selayang branch election process," he said.

Interference like this cannot be taken lightly because it involves external parties trying to take advantage of our internal party system, added Chua.

"Also, what is more concerning is that we do not know how many more MIC members have infiltrated Keadilan using the same method.

"This raises serious concerns that there is a larger and more organised operation from outside to undermine the party's stability from within," he said.

He said he has since lodged a police report and will file an official complaint to the central leadership of Keadilan and MIC for an immediate investigation to be conducted.

"Action must be taken against all parties involved. We must ensure that the Keadilan election process runs fairly and is free from malicious external influences," he added.

Meanwhile, Sivanyanam has refuted the allegations and also lodged a police report over the matter.

He denied joining PKR and asserted that he was still the Selayang MIC division chief.- April 10, 2025
