PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has conveyed a heartfelt Teachers’ Day message to educators across the nation, joining forces with beloved animated character Ejen Ali in a special video shared on his official Facebook page.
In the message, Anwar likened teachers to heroic agents, tirelessly committed to their mission of spreading knowledge and shaping future generations.
“Like the greatest agents, teachers continue to fight on the battlefield of knowledge to ensure the mission of education is fulfilled,” he said.
He went on to emphasise the vital role teachers play in the development of the nation.
“The unwavering spirit of our teachers is the very backbone of this country,” said Anwar.
“I, along with our young heroes, Ejen Ali and his friends, wish to extend our deepest gratitude to all our educators. Continue your mission of sowing knowledge with sincerity and resolve. We are all witnesses to the magnitude of your contribution.”
Anwar further described teachers as noble warriors who mould character with patience and uphold moral values.
“Warriors who stand firm in defending principles. Our work is far from done, as the effort to shape a person’s character does not end with the school term,” he said.
“It is a continuing trust, passed from one generation to the next, in the ongoing journey of building a better society.”
Highlighting the lasting impact of teachers, Anwar added, “In life—whether one becomes a leader, a doctor, an engineer, a farmer, or even a Prime Minister—it all begins with learning to write, read, and count.”
“Everything begins in the classroom,” he said.
