Iran denies ceasefire agreement with Israel, says final decision pending
“As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations,” Abbas Araghchi says - June 24, 2025

IRAN has rejected claims of a ceasefire agreement with Israel, with its foreign minister stating early Tuesday that no such arrangement currently exists, despite a public announcement by former US President Donald Trump.

“As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around. As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations,” said Abbas Araghchi in a post on X, as reported by Bernama-Anadolu.

His comments followed Trump’s declaration that Iran and Israel had reached a “complete and total” ceasefire amid escalating tensions across the Middle East.

Araghchi clarified Iran’s position, stating: “However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m. Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.

“The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later,” he added. - June 24, 2025
