A MAN sustained severe head injuries after falling onto the tracks of the Kelana Jaya Line at Subang Alam LRT station in Section 27, Shah Alam, early this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, said in a statement that an emergency call was received at 8.07am.
“A team from the Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Department comprising eight personnel, along with a fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle, were despatched to the scene and arrived nine minutes later.
“The operations commander said members of the public had already pulled the man from the tracks before rescuers arrived.”
Mukhlis confirmed the man suffered serious injuries to the head. The EMRS team administered initial treatment while awaiting medical personnel from the Ministry of Health.
In a separate statement, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said the incident involved a passenger who had trespassed onto the track area of the station.
Emergency services responded swiftly, prompting Rapid Rail to activate alternative arrangements on the Kelana Jaya Line.
“Trains from Putra Heights are now terminating at Alam Megah station before turning back, and trains from Gombak are also ending their journey at Alam Megah before returning to Gombak,” it stated.
Rapid Rail added that updates on service disruptions would be shared via Rapid KL's social media channels and station announcements. - July 4, 2025
