A FAMILY in Port Dickson suffered a double tragedy when a father died of a heart attack shortly after seeing his son's body.

The 16-year-old boy was earlier killed in a motorcycle accident.

According to reports in China Press, the incident unfolded on Sunday.

The boy was riding alone to a petrol station near his house when he apparently lost control and crashed. He died on the spot from serious head injuries.

His 43-year-father rushed to the scene upon hearing the tragic news.

Upon returning home, the man was overcome with grief and suddenly collapsed.

Reports said his wife attempted CPR while waiting for the ambulance, but he died on the way to the PD Hospital.

Both father and son were cremated on July 8 following a wake at the family home.

The wife is now left alone to look after two young daughters, aged 11 and eight.

Among those who attended the wake was Sri Tanjung Assemblyman, G. Rajasekaran who said he would assist the family through their difficult times.

He said he would apply for monthly welfare assistance and help the wife, who is from The Philippines sort out her citizenship matters. - July 9, 2025
