THE implementation of the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) credit scheme marked a new milestone on its seventh day, recording a 99.9 per cent transaction success rate and RM100 million in total sales involving 1.7 million recipients as of 10.30pm last night.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) today, the transaction rate saw a marginal increase from 99 per cent recorded the previous night.

“Efforts to improve and expand system processing capacity over the past four days have contributed to the system stability achieved today,” the ministry said.

Since its rollout on 31 August, the SARA initiative has enabled more than 10 million Malaysians to purchase essential goods using SARA credit, with total consumer spending over the seven-day period reaching RM641.9 million nationwide. - Sept 7, 2025
