Syed Saddiq completes Ironman challenge in under 13 hours, RM1 million for Muar

MUAR Member of Parliament, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman successfully completed the Ironman Malaysia 2025 challenge in Langkawi today with a time of under 13 hours.

Based on a Facebook post, Syed Saddiq recorded a time of 12 hours 22 minutes, thus earning a donation of RM1 million for the residents of Muar Parliament.

"Thank you," he said in a short video post showing himself completing the challenge which was shared on Facebook.

The 25-second video also showed Syed Saddiq crying tears of joy as soon as he crossed the finish line.

Earlier, the media reported that the 33-year-old Member of Parliament was determined to finish the country's premier extreme sports event, Ironman Malaysia 2025, in under 13 hours.

The effort was made to collect a donation of RM1 million which was promised to be channeled to the residents of Muar if he successfully completed the challenge.

The former Minister of Youth and Sports, accepted the challenge, which was set by local fashion manufacturer Prima Valet (PV).

Through a sharing on his Facebook page and TikTok application yesterday, Syed Saddiq stressed that the challenge was accepted in the interest of the people in an effort to help the residents in his area. – November 1, 2025
