THE Dewan Rakyat is expected to centre today’s proceedings on the government’s delivery of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) 2024–2028, with ministers set to face pointed questions on reform, digitalisation and labour protection.
According to the Order of Business on Parliament’s website, Ahmad Fadhli Shaari (PN–Pasir Mas) will press Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for a detailed account of how the five pillars of NACS are being implemented.
The query is set to test the administration’s commitment to what it has described as a whole-of-nation blueprint for tackling graft.
Digital modernisation will also feature prominently. Jimmy Puah Wee Tse (PH–Tebrau) is to ask the Minister of Digital whether the government intends to develop a unified super-app integrating services such as MyBorderPass and MyJPJ, accessed via MyDigital ID.
Education policy is likewise on the agenda. Zakri Hassan (PN–Kangar) plans to question the Minister of Education on efforts to reinforce Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes in schools and vocational colleges to ensure alignment with industry needs, particularly in green and digital technologies.
Labour rights for platform workers will come under scrutiny when Datuk Seri M Saravanan (BN–Tapah) seeks clarification from the Ministry of Human Resources on proposals to mandate automatic Perkeso deductions for gig workers through platform providers, and on how such a system would be enforced.
Today’s sitting will additionally include the first reading of the Finance Bill 2025 and the Measures for the Collection, Administration and Enforcement of Tax Bill 2025, before the chamber resumes its committee-stage examination of the Supply (Budget) Bill 2026. - November 18, 2025
