THE posting of an allegedly altered image of PAS Spiritual Leader Datuk Hashim Jasin by National DAPSY chief Woo Kah Leong has sparked widespread condemnation, with critics describing the act as disrespectful and offensive.
PAS Information Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari denounced the Facebook post, saying it reflected the DAP leader’s “diminished capacity for intellectual debate” and constituted a personal attack on the elderly cleric.
“What problem do you have with the PAS Mursyidul Am that you would release such a doctored image? Malicious!” he wrote on Facebook.
The incident has also provoked outrage among PAS supporters and leaders, who described the act as excessive and disrespectful to Sabah’s diverse society, which DAP often highlights in its political messaging.
Woo had previously claimed that PAS is marginalised in Sabah politics, branding the party as extremist and asserting that no other party dares form a state government with PAS.
He also mocked the party by suggesting it must first win seats in Sabah before discussing state government formation. - November 20, 2025
