THE Election Commission (EC) has recorded a total of 603 offences throughout the 14-day campaign period for the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN17).

According to its Chairman, Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun, 81 police reports were lodged in relation to these offences.

“An additional five reports were submitted to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC),” he stated.

He added that all matters reported fall under the purview of the respective enforcement agencies. Ramlan was speaking to the press at the Polling District Centre (PDM) of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kawang on Saturday.

Further commenting, he noted that offences under the EC primarily involved minor breaches, particularly concerning campaign materials.

He explained that appropriate action had already been taken, including the removal of unsuitable posters and other related materials. – November 29, 2025
