POLICE have detained two foreign nationals suspected of involvement in a fatal assault that claimed the life of a 22-year-old local man in Lorong 5, Kampung Pandan in Kuala Lumpur late last night.

District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail said authorities received a report of the incident at 12.01am.

“The victim, a 22-year-old local man, was found lying unconscious on the road with a bleeding head injury and wounds on his left palm,” he said in a statement today.

The victim was immediately transported to hospital for medical attention but was pronounced dead at 2.33am. Following the discovery, police successfully apprehended two men from Myanmar to assist with the investigation.

“The motive of the incident is still under investigation, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Both suspects have been remanded for three days until 2 December under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” Mohamad Lazim added, confirming the legal proceedings.

The arrests follow the circulation of a viral video depicting a group fight involving armed individuals, believed to have taken place in Kampung Pandan. Police have urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified footage and to assist with the ongoing investigation. - December 1, 2025
