A LOCAL motorcyclist was killed after being trapped beneath a trailer in a two-vehicle collision on the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK) here on Monday.

The accident occurred along the SILK Highway stretch from Semenyih towards Subang Jaya. Emergency responders were alerted at 9.10am and a fire engine from the Kajang Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the victim, a 47-year-old Malaysian man, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

“The incident involved a motorcycle and a trailer on the SILK Highway from Semenyih heading towards Subang Jaya,” he said in a statement.

He added that the situation was brought under control by about 9.30am, after which the scene was handed over to the police for further investigation.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof later confirmed that a report had been received and said officers were at the location to conduct follow-up action and investigations into the cause of the crash. - January 26, 2026
