FIVE members of a family were found dead at a residence in Lorong Cherating Damai, Kuantan, in an incident police believe to be a case of murder.

The District Police Chief, ACP Ashari Abu Samah, confirmed that the tragedy is believed to have occurred at around 7am this morning.

A Bernama survey at the scene revealed that forensic teams were conducting investigations, and as of 10.10am, the bodies of all victims had not yet been removed from the property.

Neighbours and relatives were seen gathered nearby, while police cordons prohibited anyone from crossing into the crime scene.

Pahang Police Chief, Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman, who was also present at the location, is expected to hold a press conference later to provide further details regarding the incident. - February 17, 2026
