ASNIDA Daim arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex here today to face a charge linked to an alleged failure to declare her assets.
According to reports, the daughter of the late former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin was seen entering the building at 8:40 am.
She was accompanied by her family members and was dressed in a dark blue outfit, wearing a mask and sunglasses.
Accompanied by family members, Asnida maintained a composed demeanour and did not respond to questions from reporters as she made her way into the court building.
She is expected to be charged under Section 36(2) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act, which relates to the offence of failing to comply with a written notice from the MACC to declare assets.
The offence carries a penalty of up to five years' imprisonment, a fine not exceeding RM100,000, or both, upon conviction.
Asnida is among four of Daim's children for whom the MACC had issued notices as part of an ongoing probe under Section 36(1)(b) of the same Act. – April 7, 2026
