SKUDAI State Assemblywoman (ADUN), Marina Ibrahim, announced her decision not to contest in any election and to withdraw from the political arena.

In a statement issued today, she said the decision was made after discussions with close individuals who have always been by her side throughout her political journey.

According to Marina, she has now chosen to return to community work that has been close to her heart since before she entered the world of politics.

“Four years ago, I came to Skudai with a simple but meaningful hope, namely to serve.

“I came not with great strength or a complete team, but with sincere intentions and the belief that every trust must be carried out as best as possible,” she said.

Throughout her term as an elected representative, Marina said she had tried to give her best to the local community.

At the same time, she also apologised for any shortcomings and weaknesses while carrying out the trust.

“I am just a human being who has never escaped mistakes and limitations,” she said.

Marina also expressed her appreciation to all parties who have given her support and trust, including the voters who supported her on March 22, 2022 and the team who have always been with her in every situation.

She also stressed that retiring from politics does not mean that her service to the community will stop.

“The end of one chapter does not mean the end of service. As long as I am given the opportunity, I will continue to contribute to the community in whatever capacity I am able,” he said.

In the same statement, Marina announced that she would continue to carry out her duties in the area until a new assemblyman is appointed.

She also prayed that Skudai would continue to develop and that its community would remain prosperous. – May 31, 2026
