PAKATAN Harapan (PH) will launch the Johor State Election (PRN) machinery at the Chinese High School Hall, Batu Pahat, tomorrow.

The launch at 8 pm is expected to be attended by PH Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, as well as DAP Secretary-General, Anthony Loke.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Batu Pahat, through a Facebook post today, also welcomed everyone to attend the launch of the machinery.

"The people of Johor are ready! Johor is not afraid of facing elections. Johor will not remain silent when the future of the state is at stake. Johor is ready to determine the direction of the state.

"Fill the hall. Shake up Batu Pahat. Send a message that the people of Johor are ready," the statement said.

Earlier, Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, announced that the Johor State Assembly would be dissolved effective June 1 to make way for the PRN after obtaining the consent of the Regent Sultan of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail.

According to legal provisions, the Election Commission (EC) has up to 60 days after the dissolution of the State Assembly to hold the PRN. – June 4, 2026
