PAS Johor has denied the authenticity of a leaflet titled "Amanat Tuan Guru Presiden PAS" that allegedly called on voters to reject Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidates and support Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates in the Johor State Election.

PAS Johor Information Chief Mohd Firdaus Jaffar said the leaflet was not an official statement, instruction or directive issued by PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, nor had it been released by the PAS central leadership or the Johor chapter.

"PAS Johor views seriously the distribution of materials using the names and images of party leaders without authorisation, as this could mislead members, supporters and the public regarding the party's official position.

"Therefore, all members, supporters and the public are advised not to distribute the leaflet and to always refer to PAS' official channels for verified statements and accurate information," he said in a statement.

Mohd Firdaus said PAS Johor also reminded all parties to practise mature, ethical and responsible politics.

He added that the spread of false materials and misleading information could undermine the democratic process and create confusion among the public.

The leaflet had recently gone viral on social media, claiming to represent a directive from Hadi Awang while displaying the PAS president's name and image. - July 10, 2026
