ALL elected representatives in the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) must implement the people's trust fairly and prioritise the interests of all, regardless of background and political leanings.

PKR Deputy President, Nurul Izzah Anwar, said that after the election results were finalised, the focus was no longer on political competition, but rather on the responsibility to serve the people.

"Politics has its time and place. During the campaign, the competition may be fierce, and hearts may be broken.

"However, after the decision is finalised, what is demanded is no longer competition, but trust," she said in a post on Facebook.

Izzah also reminded all parties to respect the election results and accept the people's mandate.

She stressed that every elected representative should now shoulder the responsibility of representing the entire population in their respective areas, regardless of political affiliation.

"The trust shouldered is to be fair, listen to the people's voices and provide the best service to all.

"The needs of the people do not know the colour of the party. May Allah SWT guide our every step in shouldering this trust," she said. – August 3, 2026
