AN alternative medicine practitioner was arrested by the police to assist investigations into allegations that he molested a female client who was seeking treatment at a centre in Senawang last month.
Negeri Sembilan Deputy Police Chief, Senior Assistant Commissioner Mohd Nasharudin Mohd Shariff, said the suspect, a local man in his 60s, was arrested around Senawang on July 27.
According to him, so far, police have received four reports related to the case.
“Police are investigating allegations of molestation involving an alternative medicine practitioner at a treatment centre in Senawang.
“To date, we have received four reports relating to the case, and we are recording statements from the complainant and witnesses, in addition to obtaining relevant evidence,” he said.
He said the case is being investigated under Sections 354 and 509 of the Penal Code as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
“Any individual with information relating to this case is asked to come forward to assist in the investigation by passing on the information to any nearby police station,” he said. – August 6, 2026
