The Prime Minister extends condolences to the family of former Chief Justice Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin - August 7, 2026

PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed condolences to the family of former Chief Justice Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin, who passed away on Friday morning.

Anwar said Mohamed Eusoff had made significant contributions to the nation, particularly through his efforts in strengthening the judiciary throughout his distinguished legal career.

"Condolences to the family of the late Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin, former Chief Justice of Malaysia, who returned to the mercy of Allah this morning.

"The late Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin rendered great service to the country, especially in strengthening the judiciary throughout his career. His contributions and dedication will continue to be remembered," Anwar said in a Facebook post.

The Prime Minister also prayed for Allah SWT’s forgiveness and mercy for the late former chief justice.

"May Allah SWT forgive all his shortcomings, bestow His mercy upon him, and place his soul among those who are faithful and righteous. Al-Fatihah," he said. - August 7, 2026
