A MALAYSIAN died while transiting in Bangkok, Thailand, before continuing his flight to Hokkaido, Japan, on Monday.
It is understood that the deceased Hamizi Mohd. Noor, 52, went to Hokkaido to join a company vacation trip, while a video of the incident went viral on social media, showing the cabin crew trying to assist the deceased.
The video was also uploaded by the Islamic funeral management, Mr Wan Can Official, on Facebook and received responses from friends of the deceased in the comments section.
Mr Wan Can Official informed that the Kulim Wakaf Funeral Van and UKVJ Kedah helped bring the deceased's body back to the country. – August 12, 2026
