PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stressed that the Indian community will never be marginalised in the MADANI Government's development agenda.
He said the matter was also given attention through a series of engagements with Indian community leaders to review the progress of the government's agenda implementation, in addition to listening to the views and concerns of the community.
According to Anwar, various efforts have been mobilised in the fields of education, entrepreneurship, micro-financing, welfare and cash assistance to ease the burden on families and improve living standards.
"I emphasise that the Indian community will never be marginalised and the MADANI Government will continue to expand access to financing for entrepreneurs, strengthen MITRA, empower entrepreneurship training and TVET, and open up more space for youth development through mentor-mentee programs," he said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, Anwar said the government was also paying attention to the gaps that still exist, including issues of poverty, citizenship and access to assistance.
He stressed that the matter needed to be addressed immediately and effectively so that no group was left out of the benefits of development.
"Related ministries and agencies need to strengthen synergy and streamline delivery so that every allocation and policy that is put in place truly reaches its target and brings about real change in the lives of the people," he said.
Anwar said continuous efforts were important to ensure that government policies and allocations truly benefit the Indian community and improve their standard of living. – September 4, 2026
