NEGERI Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim and the state executive council (EXCO) are expected to meet Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar today.
The meeting, described in a media invitation as a session to familiarise and strengthen ties, is scheduled for 9 am at the Tuanku Ja’afar Royal Gallery in Seremban.
The Four Undangs, whose status has been disputed, along with the Tunku Besar of Tampin and Datuk Shahbandar Sungai Ujong, are also expected to attend.
Media have been invited to cover the meeting.
The meeting comes days after a statement issued in the name of the state EXCO and carried by several news portals claimed that the proclamation concerning the selection of Tunku Nadzaruddin under Article 11 of the Negeri Sembilan Constitution (UUTKNS) 1959, dated April 19, 2026, had been signed and sealed by the legitimate Undangs and was in force.
The statement said the proclamation was valid and properly made under the UUTKNS 1959.
Ismail was subsequently reported to have confirmed the proclamation concerning the removal of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
He said the matter had been unanimously decided by all EXCO members at a meeting the previous Tuesday. - September 23, 2026
