POLICE are investigating the unauthorised removal of several residents from a privately owned drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Bukit Kuda in Klang after a group of men and women allegedly entered the premises and took them away.

North Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol said police received a report from the centre’s owner on Oct 28.

He said the group had arrived at the premises and removed several residents without the management’s consent.

“The number of residents taken away is still under investigation. Police will provide updates as they become available,” he said in a statement last night.

Ramsay said initial investigations found that the rehabilitation centre was privately owned.

The case is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass, which carries a maximum jail term of six months, a fine of up to RM3,000, or both, upon conviction.

He advised the public against speculating about the incident, warning that doing so could disrupt public order and the police investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the North Klang District Police Headquarters at 03-3291 9614, any nearby police station, or investigating officer Sergeant Amirul Ashraf Abd Rahim at 011-69730086. - November 2, 2026
