IPOH – Perak at 9am today closed its last flood-relief centre at the Teluk Intan Municipal Council Hall in the Hilir Perak district, which was opened on January 4.
Hilir Perak district disaster management chairman Mohd Hizaz Mohd Ibrahim said the last 44 victims at the temporary shelter were allowed to return home as the floods have subsided.
Hizaz also thanked the relevant agencies, individuals and non-governmental organisations that worked hard coordinating flood-relief operations in the district. – Bernama, January 11, 2020
