NSC rubbishes claims on Kedah, T’ganu lockdown

KUALA LUMPUR – The National Security Council has denied claims online that the movement control order (MCO) will be imposed in Kedah from tomorrow to January 31.

A fake news notice was issued by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry’s Quick Response Team at 11pm yesterday.

Similarly, the notice was issued an hour earlier over a viral post alleging that Terengganu would be under the MCO from yesterday until January 26.

NSC urged people not to share unverified news, which could cause public confusion and anxiety. – Bernama, January 17, 2021
