KUALA LUMPUR – Despite testing positive for Covid-19, Padang Rengas MP Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz claims he is still healthy and feeling “very positive”.
In a phone conversation with The Vibes, the Umno warlord appears cheerful as he shares his experience of undergoing three Covid-19 check-ups in the span of a day.
Nazri said he first started experiencing severe bouts of coughing on Sunday morning, prompting him to perform two swab tests at separate clinics, both of which turned out negative.
However, when his cough worsened, Nazri admitted himself to Raja Perempuan Zainab Hospital in Kota Baru, Kelantan, where he took another test.
This time, the result returned positive.
“I will remain warded as long as the hospital wants to keep me. But as of today, I’m feeling very positive and as fit as a fiddle,” Nazri said, adding that he has not experienced any other symptom.
He said he has been spending time in Kota Baru with his family since January 11.
However, he had flown to Kuala Lumpur on a day trip on January 12 for a special press conference, where he announced his withdrawal from Perikatan Nasional, before returning to Kelantan that same evening.
While it is uncertain from where Nazri contracted the virus, blogger Datuk Zaharin Mohd, who also attended the presser, announced that he was infected with the coronavirus on January 14.
Nazri said his other family members have also undergone swab tests, with the results returning as negative. – The Vibes, January 19, 2021
