KUALA LUMPUR – A body was found floating in Sg Klang near the low-cost flats in Pantai Dalam yesterday.
In a statement yesterday, Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said authorities retrieved the body with the help of the Fire and Rescue Department.
The police had received a call from a woman at 12.10pm yesterday about the body’s discovery.
He said police believe the body had been in the water no longer than 48 hours, based on its condition.
“There are injuries to the forehead (of the victim), most likely caused from hitting some rocks.
“The body has been taken to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem exam.”
Police have classified the case as sudden death.
Anuar also urged anyone with information on the case to call the police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or the Brickfields police at 03-2297 9222, or to go to the nearest police station. – The Vibes, January 24, 2021
