A man with several criminal records has been arrested after robbing a foreigner at a house in Jalan Pandan Indah 18, Kuala Lumpur. – January 25, 2021

KUALA LUMPUR – A man with 10 past records was arrested by police on suspicion of robbing a foreigner at a house in Jalan Pandan Indah 18, here, yesterday.

In a statement today, Ampang Jaya police chief Mohamad Farouk Esha said the robbery occurred at about 4.30pm, when the suspect approached the victim, who was looking for boxes.

He said the suspect offered to give boxes from his house to the victim, but when the latter followed the former back home, the suspect shoved a knife at him and robbed the victim of his wallet.

He said the 32-year-old suspect was arrested at about 5.10pm yesterday, adding that police had also seized a knife, some clothing and RM53 from him.

The suspect has eight records for robbery, house-breaking, theft, criminal intimidation and causing hurt, and two records for drug-related offences. He has been remanded for seven days beginning today. – Bernama, January 25, 2021
