JOHOR BARU – Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri of Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah today conveyed words of encouragement to medical workers in all hospitals in the state.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim’s Facebook page, the message was presented in a poster, which was personally signed by the ruler and his wife.
Copies of the poster were handed over to state Health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu by Royal Press Office chief media officer Ravi Nambiar and assistant editor Muhd Nazri Azmi at Wisma Persekutuan here today for distribution to all district hospitals.
In the post, Raja Zarith Sofiah said the poster aims to show the Johor royal family’s appreciation for the continuous efforts of medical workers in the state in providing services to Covid-19 patients.
“We hope this gesture will, to some extent, motivate frontline workers to keep up the good work.
“We call on the people to always take precautions in working together to break the Covid-19 chain of infection, and to alleviate the burden of the nation’s medical sector.”
The post further mentioned that since outbreak, the Johor royal family has channelled various forms of aid, including medical equipment and food, to the needy. – Bernama, January 25, 2021
