KUALA LUMPUR – Police have arrested four men in connection with a clash between two groups, one armed with parang, in Taman Juara Jaya, Batu 9 Cheras, yesterday.

Kajang district police chief Mohd Zaid Hassan said police received a call on the incident at 6.37pm.

“There were three cars abandoned by the suspects or victims at the scene. Two victims currently being treated in hospital are in stable condition.

“Police are still investigating the cause of the incident. All suspects will be remanded today at the Kajang court to assist in the investigation,” he said in a statement today.

Zaid said a video clip of the clash, showing a group of men armed with parang attacking another group, had also gone viral.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 326/148 of the Penal Code and urged those with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Mohd Radzee Jamudi at 019-6655811 or any police station. – Bernama, February 1, 2021
