KUCHING – The number of evacuees at relief centres in Sarawak dropped to 486 this morning from 528 yesterday.
The state Disaster Management Committee secretariat, in a statement, said only two centres – SK Tanah Puteh and the Serian community hall, both in Serian district – are operating, following the closure of the shelter at the Kg Slabi Entukuh hall at 6pm yesterday.
A total of 338 people from 114 families are housed at SK Tanah Puteh, while 148 people from 52 families are at the Serian community hall.
