KUALA LUMPUR – The Health Ministry is looking for more volunteers to take part in phase three of its Covid-19 vaccine clinical trials.
The ministry said in a tweet that the prescribed conditions for applicants include being over 18 years old and healthy.
Those interested to volunteer or seeking further information can contact, via WhatsApp, the Clinical Research Centre in nine hospitals, namely:

- Sarawak General Hospital (012-310-8108)
- Penang Hospital (014-945-3599)
- Seberang Jaya Hospital, Penang (014-906-5518)

Those contacting these numbers are requested to fill a form directly on the WhatsApp application or another platform, while providing a link for further details, before the hospitals take further action and contact the applicants.
However, the CRC in Ampang Hospital already has enough volunteers, but is still providing registration links for those interested to take part in future vaccine trials.
Malaysia’s Covid-19 vaccine clinical trials began on January 27 in nine hospitals, involving some 3,000 volunteers.
Phase 3 of the trials, sponsored by China’s Institute of Medical Biology Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, aims to assess the vaccines’ safety and effectiveness against Covid-19 infection.
The nine hospitals participating in the trial are coordinated by the Health Ministry’s Institute of Clinical Research. – Bernama, February 9, 2021
