KUALA LUMPUR – Perikatan Nasional (PN) will soon set up election structures at the state level.

PN information head Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the matter was decided at a PN election committee meeting in Putrajaya last night.

“The meeting was held in the presence of all PN component party election directors from PAS, Bersatu, Star, SAPP and Gerakan.

“The meeting decided to strengthen cooperation through election mobilisation efforts to garner the support of the people,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Azmin, who is also international trade and industry minister, chaired the meeting.

On February 11, the Selangor PN State Liaison Committee (BPN) announced it was forming an organisational structure to marshal support and gain the confidence of the people.

Its organisation structure involves Azmin as chairman as well as Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi from PAS and Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari from Bersatu as vice-chairman, apart from Datuk Zuraida Kamarudin of Bersatu as election director. – Bernama, February 25, 2021
