MELAKA – The nationwide recruitment process for Henry Gurney School in Telok Mas may be the cause of the institution’s rise in Covid-19 cases.
Melaka Health and Anti-Drug Committee chairman Datuk Rahmad Mariman said poor compliance with the standard operating procedures is a possible contributor to the spike.
“So, we are monitoring the situation to identify what happened.
“I also proposed that during the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), there should be a stop to taking in new recruits, while existing trainees cannot be allowed out,” he told Bernama today.
The EMCO on the school is in force from tomorrow until March 19, following the detection of 152 coronavirus infections. – Bernama, March 5, 2021
