KUALA LUMPUR – DAP’s Howard Lee has called on Pakatan Harapan Youth wings to back the coalition’s new Youth head, Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin of Amanah.

“When our opponents are fighting each other, we should focus on unity and cooperation, in our minds and in our work, so that the enemies that betrayed us can be toppled.

“The way forward should not be poisoned by enemies in our own midst who will betray the efforts of our friends. I call upon all Youth wings from the PH to prepare themselves, get organised and stay away from exhausting political intrigues and move forward as a team.

“Be careful with the provocation of your enemies; don’t be unsound or you’ll get knocked down,” said Lee in his statement.

Lee, who is also deputy PH Youth chief, said the coalition does not have time to entertain the works of traitors and reminded everyone not to be power-hungry.

He added that power is not something to be proud of but instead, a responsibility and duty whose burden must be shared by all.

After the contest, many members of PKR’s Youth wing had voiced dissatisfaction, saying that their chief, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, is the better choice.

However, Akmal, in a recent statement, voiced his support for Shazni while acknowledging dissent is nothing unusual. – The Vibes, March 6, 2021
