KUALA LUMPUR – Covid-19 cases dropped slightly today to 1,575, as the country logged three deaths to the deadly virus.
Yesterday saw 1,647 new cases.
The fresh cases take the cumulative number of cases to 320,939, the Health Ministry announced today.
Of the new infections, only seven are imported.
The death toll has also risen to 1,203 fatalities.
Recoveries, meanwhile, exceeded new cases again today at 2,042, taking the cumulative number of those discharged to 302,662.
A total of 147 cases are in intensive care, with 67 requiring breathing support.
Selangor continues to top the list of fresh daily infections with 751, followed by Sarawak (173), Johor (135), Penang (132) and Kuala Lumpur (108).
The other states that recorded less than 100 cases are Sabah with 57 cases, Perak (44), Kelantan (43), Negri Sembilan (32), Melaka (25), Perlis (25), Kedah (23), Terengganu (16), Pahang (4), Putrajaya (4) and Labuan (3).
The Health Ministry recorded 10 new clusters today.
Selangor has three clusters – Jalan Tempua (seven), Jalan Industri Dua (18), and Jalan Kunci Air (18).
Sarawak has three clusters – Jalan Main Bazaar (12), Sena (61), and Buloh Pasi (21).
Johor, Penang, Perak, and Terengganu each has a new cluster.
Jalan Pelepas Dua cluster in Johor Baru has 12 infections while Lintang Bayan Lepas cluster in Penang recorded 59 cases.
