KOTA KINABALU – The federal government should learn from the parties in Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and their success in governing Sabah for the past six months, said Bersatu Youth vice-chief Ceasar Mandela Malakun.
In a statement, Malakun said Sabah’s political model should be used at the federal level as well as in other states to ensure a strong and stable government that focuses on leading the nation towards economic development, especially post-Covid-19.
“It is also crucial for the state governments to be aligned with the federal government to deliver on the aspirations of the people. This is clearly what the people want.
“The state election took place after the PN government came into power under the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, and the Warisan state government was toppled.
“I believe we received a big indication of the current political climate and the true sentiments of the people to have a united government, at both the state and federal level,” he said. – The Vibes, March 20, 2020
