KOTA KINABALU – The leadership qualities shown by Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, who is continuing the political cooperation with Sabah Bersatu to prioritise the development of the state and its people, should be emulated.

Sabah Bersatu information chief Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan said the development sought by Sabahans could be achieved under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor, with the help of Bung Moktar, who is deputy chief minister I.

“We welcome the statement issued by Bung Moktar to continue the political cooperation with Sabah Bersatu under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)… The main focus of the GRS government is to ensure all plans for the people are expedited.

“Ties with other parties in GRS will always be harmonious.”

Khairul Firdaus said the main factor Sabah has not achieve success as hoped by Sabahans is because of the constant change of government, adding that the struggle of the people must be made the main agenda in the state administration under GRS.

Yesterday, Bung Moktar reportedly said Sabah Umno will maintain its stand to cooperate with GRS, although the central Umno leadership has cut ties with Bersatu and plans to go solo into the 15th general election.

GRS is made up of component parties of Perikatan Nasional (Bersatu, PAS, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku, Sabah Progressive Party), Barisan Nasional (Umno, MCA, MIC, Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah), and Parti Bersatu Sabah. – Bernama, March 29, 2021
