PETALING JAYA – Bersatu is open to collaborating with Muafakat Nasional, said Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
The party’s information chief said Bersatu emphasises unity in political cooperation, and at the same time, wants to strengthen the ruling Perikatan Nasional coalition.
“Our attitude is that we are always open. We always put unity first. We want the existing coalition to be maintained,” he said when asked by reporters here about the party’s willingness to work in MN, the alliance between PAS and Umno, after a Bersatu supreme council meeting chaired by president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin earlier yesterday.
Umno has said it will cease cooperation with Bersatu in the 15th general election.
Wan Saiful said Bersatu’s agenda is clear: to create a stable coalition and government, and improve the people’s welfare. – Bernama, April 4, 2021
