KUALA LUMPUR – The authorities have implemented enhanced movement control orders (EMCOs) in five areas in Pekan, Pahang.
In a Facebook post, the National Security Council (NSC) announced that the five areas are Taman Mentiga Jaya, Taman Perdana, Perkampungan Peramu Jaya 3, Taman Sepekan Makmur and Kg Pulau Serai.
The EMCO will begin tomorrow and is expected to end on April 22.
In a separate post, 64 individuals were arrested yesterday for MCO violations, with 59 others issued compounds and five remanded.
The authorities also arrested 37 illegal migrants and seized six land transport vehicles in the ongoing Op Benteng. – The Vibes, April 8, 2021
