KOTA KINABALU – Covid-19 cases in Sabah soared to 142 cases, up 25 from 117 cases yesterday.
It is close to a week since the state recorded three-digit infections after maintaining a two-digit tally for 51 days from February.
“Tawau remains high, with 70 new cases and a fresh cluster, Sabah spokesman for the Covid-19 secretariat Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun tweeted.
“Existing clusters in Lahad Datu registered another 19 cases. Another new cluster, the Khidmat cluster in Kota Kinabalu, involves a school with 29 new cases, which pushes the state’s tally to 142 cases.”
The new infections bring the cumulative figure to 56,023 for the state.
